Last week, things got serious for Europe. That’s because gas flows going through Nordstream 1 fell to zero. Some viewed this as retaliation from Putin for the suggestion of potential price caps in Europe.
This led to a mad scramble by governments to find ways in which they could increase supply and reduce demand. There have been a number of proposals from cold showers to dimmed streetlights and car-pooling. Countries have also been looking for alternative LNG suppliers so that they can tap up their storage tanks.
The main question is whether these measures will be enough? Or is a large scale rationing inevitable?
That’s exactly what I am going to explore in my latest video! I will be taking you through the latest energy & financial risks that face the continent. I will also be analysing the proposed solutions and whether they could limit the risk of rationing this winter.
