Did you know that all of your crypto transactions are being tracked?
I’m sure many of you do, but I bet most of you don’t know exactly who is tracking them, what they’re looking for, and most importantly, who is funding them.
Today’s video is about a topic I’ve been wanting to tackle for a very long time, and that’s investigating the three biggest blockchain analytics companies and figuring out what their endgame is. To be honest, I was pretty surprised at what I found.
For starters, not all of them are anti-crypto. This makes sense given many of their founders have deep roots in the crypto industry. Some of their employees have even worked for regulators in the government which has helped them influence policy in a good way.
Blockchain analytics companies have also made it possible for institutions and institutional investors to feel comfortable handling and investing in cryptocurrency. It’s possible that the current bull market would be much more muted were it not for all this transaction tracking.
It’s not all sunshine and rainbows though. It looks like all of these blockchain analysis companies have no scruples doing business with governments, and it’s possible that not all of these governments are the kinds that you’d want to have these sorts of tools.
This is of course impossible to know, because blockchain analytics companies are ironically quite secretive about their operations. This is probably the biggest problem, and it’s one that I address at the end of the video.
Be sure to stick around for that!
