Crypto Donations: TOP 5 Charities To Support & WHY!!

Mar 04, 2022

As you know, the world as a whole isn't in the best place right now. The cost of living is going up for everyone, the price of food is reaching historic highs, and there is a war going on in Ukraine that has probably displaced over a million people by this point.

All of these events got me thinking about how crypto could help, and after seeing all the headlines about crypto donations to the people caught up in the middle of the Ukrainian crisis, I decided to do a video about crypto charities and why you should consider them.

Now I know what you're thinking, "all of these charities keep all the money and only give a little bit to the cause!". While this is often in fact the case, crypto charities tend to have a lot less overhead due to the peer-to-peer nature of crypto transactions.

Not only that, but there are a lot of benefits that come from donating. Supporting causes you believe in or that affect you directly and tax deductions are just a few reasons why you'd donate. The real question is why you'd donate crypto over fiat given crypto is more valuable?

Well, I reckon you'd want to send a more valuable currency to people who are in need. Crypto donations also come with perks such as relative anonymity, unstoppable transactions, and money that can't be seized (when kept in a non-custodial wallet of course).

These are just a few of the topics I cover in today's video, and as you'll see, there's actually quite a bit when it comes to crypto charity, and some of these organisations are taking donations to the next level with stuff like DAOs and direct giving.

Feel free to let me know what crypto charities you're donating to in the comment section, if any.
