Lido Finance: Liquid Ethereum Staking & LDO Potential!!

May 27, 2022

Hey Guys,

As most of you will know, Ethereum's proof of stake blockchain dubbed the Beacon Chain launched in December 2020.

Since that time we've seen hundreds of thousands of validators stake billions of dollars of ETH on the Beacon Chain. There's just one small problem, and that's that nearly a third of this ETH is being staked through Lido Finance.

As you can imagine, this has led to some concerns for Ethereum once it transitions to proof of stake, and it got me wondering whether Lido Finance really is a security concern. It's safe to say that I was surprised at what I found, and I reckon the most important takeaway is that Lido Finance is as obsessed with Ethereum's decentralisation as we are.

To that end, Lido Finance has been actively onboarding additional validators from the Beacon Chain as well as the other proof of stake blockchains that the protocol supports. The team has even put together a detailed roadmap that will make the protocol completely trustless, meaning depositing, staking, and withdrawing will all be done without a third party.

Oh, and did I mention that Lido Finance was co-founded by some of the biggest crypto OGs there are? One of them is actually a popular crypto influencer.

I think you'll be surprised at who it is, and if you're interested at all in DeFi, Ethereum, and the future of proof of stake, this is a video you absolutely cannot miss!
